[ It's a good time of year for a bonfire, what with the weather being more on the chilly side, but not overly so that being outside is unbearable. The only layer Mitsuki's got on is a sweater over his shirt, making the bonfire feel just toasty enough. He's in a relatively good mood, socializing with some of the others attending the event, but he could use a little more...oomph. Something that feels appropriate for a celebration.
In the near distance, he spots a bottle of wine propped up next to a log. On the log is a man with long black hair, and the assumption Mitsuki makes is that the wine belongs to the stranger sitting down next to the wine. He approaches the stranger with a casual smile on his face and gives him a little wave. ]
[Meanwhile poor Vanitas, who looks like it's ten degrees colder than it actually is, is bundled up with his clothes, a sweater, his cloak, and a scarf. And yet still he seems to be shivering. Not enough to be miserable, but enough to impair his judgement towards alcohol. So when Mitsuki approaches, he eyes the other for a moment before scooting over to make room, gesturing to the spot next to him.]
[ Oh, he looks so cold, and his shivering is a little concerning given how Mitsuki's wearing less and faring just fine. But you know what will warm him up? Alcohol. So he grins when he sees the guy slide over and make room for him, and he sits down and looks for any glasses. ]
You weren't planning on drinking straight from the bottle, were you?
[ And if he needs to take the cork off, he'll...also start working on that. Wine is so fancy and he doesn't have it very often, but there's no better time than the present to give it a shot, right? ]
It'll be more fun if you share it with someone else, anyway! That's what events like these are for.
[As a doctor, Vanitas knows that the last thing that would technically help him in a physical sense is alcohol, but, frankly, he doesn't much care. Subjectively it'll do just fine. There's a couple wine glasses perched nearby on a cloth on a stump, waiting to be used.]
Haha, no indeed. That's far to gauche for my sensibilities.
[Now is the perfect time, given the chilly weather. Perhaps bourbon would have been even more appropriate, but, well, he is French. Wine it is. And frankly that's usually more an enough to knock him out cold. So while the bottle's being uncorked, Vanitas polishes the glasses a bit more with his cloak.]
Heh, that is indeed true. Drinking alone is rarely fun; typically it's just sad. So I'm glad you stopped by.
[ Mitsuki catches a glimpse of the glasses, amused by the fact that they're just There on a log and waiting for people to grab them. Thankfully Vanitas has that covered, so he goes back to struggling with the cork for a hot second until he manages to get it out with a silly, victorious grin on his face. Simple pleasures in life, etc. ]
Good, good! I'm glad, too. [ Though... ] You seem pretty cold. Are you sure you're going to be okay?
[ Once Vanitas is done with one of the glasses, Mitsuki pours his glass first before getting to his own. He's not giving himself a hefty amount. ]
I'm Izumi Mitsuki, by the way, but you can just call me Mitsuki.
[Hey, never come unprepared, that's his motto! Or something to that effect. And 'always bring a spare' is a good maxim to live by too. He's just glad Mitsuki didn't blast the cork into one of their faces..... That wouldn't have been a great way to start off a relationship.]
Eh, I'll be fine. I always get chilled easily. My physiology, I'm afraid.
[Thankfully they both can drink lightly, it seems, based on how much he pours. Still, Vanitas clinks the glasses together carefully.]

Hey, is that yours? Mind if I have some, too?
[ Alcohol is better with company!!! ]

By all means. I doubt I can drink it all myself.

Vanitas. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mitsuki. Santé!
[Bottoms up!]
